The mission of the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation is to instill youth in the Greater East St. Louis area with the dream, drive and determination necessary to succeed in academics, athletics and leadership. Our programming touches the lives of more than 2,000 kids in East St. Louis each year. We provide after school and summer programs including volleyball, basketball, Khoury league baseball and softball, wrestling, dance, football, cheerleading and much more. All children who attend the center are also taught Jackie’s Winning in Life curriculum, which teaches leadership and character development skills. Our goal is to engage kids and families, through sports, and improve outcomes with education classes and life skills training. We partner with SIUE to offer the Headstart program to pre-school children and collaborate with numerous other agencies/companies to expand our outreach. The JJK Center provides a safe, nurturing environment; a place for children to reach their full potential. Volunteers and donations always welcomed!
