Matt Tipton

Marschke Engineering, a civil engineering firm with offices in Edwardsville, Ill., and Lake of the Ozarks, recently announced the promotion of Matt Tipton to project engineer.

Tipton joined Marschke Engineering as an intern in 2022 and quickly distinguished himself through his initiative, technical skill, and professionalism. He is a Southern Illinois University Edwardsville graduate and has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

“Matt’s technical strength and steady leadership have made him an asset on multiple condominium projects,” said Matt Marschke, P.E., founder and principal engineer.

An official statement further notes that his promotion reflects the firm’s continued growth and its commitment to serving clients in Missouri and Illinois as well as the 25 states where the firms franchise clients are located.

In his role as project engineer, Tipton leads site design, grading, permitting, and structural coordination for projects that serve municipalities, HOAs, developers, and private property owners. His expertise includes AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling, retaining wall design using EnerCalc, steel beam and connection design using RISA, and stormwater infrastructure planning.

Tipton is known for his ability to bridge engineering ideas with practical execution—working closely with city officials, architects, surveyors, and CAD technicians to deliver safe, code-compliant designs on schedule. His skill set includes analytic thinking, strong time management, and a clear understanding of regulatory processes.

With Tipton’s promotion, Marschke Engineering strengthens its ability to offer responsive, field- tested engineering services across the region. The firm continues to support clients with planning, permitting, and infrastructure solutions that protect valuable property assets while maximizing project success.
