Leadership Council approves 2025 slate of officers

The Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois held its annual business meeting on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at the Doubletree by Hilton in Collinsville, Ill. As part of the meeting, board members in attendance approved the Leadership Council’s 2025 slate of nominated officers.

Elected to serve as the leadership team for 2025 were Kathy Federico of Jack Schmitt Dealerships as president; Rick Parks of First National Bank of Waterloo as vice president; Steve Donahue of Horner & Shifrin Inc. as treasurer; and Eric Whitfield of Ameren Illinois as secretary.

Jay Korte of The Korte Company, the outgoing president, will serve as chairman in 2024.

There were no additions or departures from the LCSWIL’s Executive Committee for the coming year. Members include Dan Barger of Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council; Thomas Berry, Jr. of Jackson Lewis P.C.; Chris Blair of World Wide Technology Raceway; Lorraine Cavataio of Sandberg Phoenix; Robert DeConcini of TWM Inc.; Steve Donahue of Horner & Shifrin Inc.; George Evans of Kaskaskia College; Kathy Federico of Jack Schmitt Dealerships; Jay Korte of The Korte Company; Mary Lamie of Bi-State Development; Dr. James Minor of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville; Rick Parks of First National Bank of Waterloo; Donna Richter of Southern Illinois Builders Association; Eric Whitfield of Ameren Illinois and Steve Zuber of BarberMurphy.

The Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois has been fostering economic growth in southwestern Illinois since 1983. Through its eight committees, the Council strives to unite the region for growth, serving Madison, St. Clair, Macoupin, Clinton, Monroe, Jersey, Bond, Washington, and Calhoun Counties.
