Local physician recognized nationally at aesthetic medicine conference in Miami

Local aesthetic physician and owner of Ooh La La Spa Anti-Aging & Wellness Kristen M. Jacobs, MD, was nationally recognized at the Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress Americas (AMWC) in Miami, Fla. AMWC is the world’s leading conference specializing in aesthetic and anti-aging medicine with industry experts attending from all around the world.
At the conference, Dr. Jacobs received the Maverick Award, which is voted on by attendees and given to those who speak on innovative concepts. Her presentation, “Creating an Innovative Holistic Treatment Plan Focusing on Healthy Aging” was part of a larger session on holistic aesthetics.
“It was such an honor to be able to educate people on my SCIN + Body philosophy on a national platform in front of such amazing industry experts,” said Dr. Jacobs. “My goal is always to teach other aesthetic medical professionals how shifting your patient’s mindset from anti-aging to healthy aging can transform their outlook on how they take care of their skin. Aging is about prevention and protection, not just correction. It was amazing to be recognized with the Maverick Award during my session and I am looking forward to returning to AMWC next year.”
Dr. Jacobs began her medical career as a family medicine physician before transitioning into aesthetic medicine and opening Ooh La La Spa, Anti-Aging & Wellness in 2008. Because of her passion for educating and inspiring other healthcare professionals, she opened the Aesthetic Resource & Training (ART) Academy in 2023. ART Academy helps provide a space for current physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and other medical professionals learning to get training in injectables and to expand their knowledge in aesthetic medicine.
