Granite City’s Gateway Regional Medical Center names Brian Cotter as CEO

Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City has named Brian Cotter as CEO of the hospital, effective April 1, 2023.
Cotter is an experienced hospital leader with more than 30 years’ experience in healthcare and teaching positions. He has served as CEO in hospitals throughout California, including more rural hospitals. Most recently, Cotter served as CEO of Barstow Community Hospital and as a speaker for the California School for Health Sciences, teaching international students about infection control, nursing, and leadership.

Cotter earned his Master of Business Administration from Columbus University and obtained his registered nursing degree from Solano School of Nursing.
