Diana Enloe
On June 14, 2026, the 2026 Arts For Life Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Diana Enloe in a ceremony at Chaminade High School in St. Louis, Mo.
A retired educator and lifelong champion of the arts, Enloe has devoted more than seven decades to theater. Her remarkable body of work includes directing more than 100 plays and musicals for both high school and community theater stages. In addition to directing, she has shared her talents as a performer, choreographer, costumer, and lighting designer for dozens of productions. Her artistic leadership has earned her multiple “Best Director” awards from Arts for Life.
Enloe’s commitment to service extends well beyond the stage. In the Alton-Godfrey community, she has been honored with the YWCA Women of Distinction Award and the Riverbend Head Start and Family Services Circle of Care Award. She has also served on the boards of the Alton Community Service League, P.E.O., and Alton Little Theater.
For the past 25 years, she has continued to contribute her time and talent as a director, actor, and costumer for Vintage Voices. Enloe’s distinguished career in education spanned 36 years with service at Alton High School, East Alton-Wood River High School, and SIU Edwardsville. Through her work as an educator, artist, mentor, and volunteer, she has inspired generations of students, performers, and audiences.
