West Star Aviation’s Mike Sichmeller nominated for AEA Member of the Year

West Star Aviation recently announced that Avionics Technical Sales Manager Mike Sichmeller of East Alton, Ill. (ALN) has been nominated by a committee of industry peers for the AEA Member of the Year Award.
AEA has selected five nominees this year, and the winner will be announced at their annual convention in April. The annual award has been granted every year since 1964.
The nominees for the AEA Member of the Year are individuals from a regular member company, approved maintenance organization, who are being recognized for their service and participation in the general aviation industry and in the association.
Sichmeller has over 40 years of aviation experience with a career that started in the USAF as an avionics tech and has continued into corporate and civil aviation with various positions including, avionics technician, systems engineer, project manager, production manager, service center planner/contract manager, sales engineer and sales manager.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics and a Master of Science in Aeronautical Science degree from Embry Riddle. Sichmeller has been with West Star for two and a half years as an Avionics Technical Sales Manager at the ALN location.
