Marc Laidley has joined Midwest BankCentre as a bilingual senior mortgage loan officer, reporting to Rebecca Walker, senior vice president of mortgage and loan services. His addition extends the bank’s progress in building shared prosperity throughout the region through access to affordable capital.
Based at the Midwest BankCentre branch at 5515 S. Grand Blvd., in St. Louis’ Bevo neighborhood, Laidley focuses on supporting local Hispanic community members seeking to achieve their home ownership goals, specializing in ITIN and portfolio loans. He helps clients overcome such common obstacles as lack of credit history and down payment funding as well as assisting immigrants. He speaks fluent Spanish, communicating with Hispanic clients in their native language.
Working in bank and mortgage lending for more than six years, he was formerly a Spanish teacher and soccer coach at Vianney High School in St. Louis and a residential Realtor in Missouri and Illinois.
“Marc Laidley has a real heart for our work in helping our customers achieve their homeownership dreams,” said Walker. “As the St. Louis region works to grow our Hispanic population, Midwest BankCentre is ready to assist with Marc’s addition and our other Spanish-speaking team members.”
Laidley graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a minor in law enforcement.
