Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh were recently recognized for outstanding patient experience by national healthcare research leader Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC).
Memorial Hospital Shiloh received top performer recognition for diagnostic imaging (outpatient); 5-star recognition for outpatient laboratory services and a 4-star award in the Emergency Department.
Memorial Hospital Belleville received 5-star awards for outpatient cardiac catheterization and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
The Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize organizations and individuals who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences based on surveys of their patients. The Top Performers Award recognizes outpatient service lines, inpatient units, outpatient clinics and physicians/providers scoring at or above the 100th percentile in PRC’s database.
All 5 Star ratings place these services in the top 10 percent nationally; the 4 Star Award goes to inpatient facilities and emergency departments scoring in the top 25 perent in PRC’s database.
BJC hospitals, service organizations and medical practices earned a total of 151 PRC Excellence in Healthcare Awards, including 44 teams earning national recognition for at least three consecutive years. Thirteen teams earned Top Performer awards and more than 60 BJC Medical Group providers were recognized for performing in the top decile compared to national benchmarks.
