New leaders installed for Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois

Members of the Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois recently gathered to celebrate the Association and install the new officers and directors. Karen Sheesley was installed as the 2021-2022 President of the Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois at an installation event held in August at the 4204 Main Street Brewing Co. Banquet Center in Belleville.

Karen Sheesley, Realtor with RE/MAX Preferred, has served as a board member of the Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois since 2016. She has participated on numerous committees and task forces, including Budget & Finance, RPAC, Awards, Community Involvement, and more. She is also involved with Habitat for Humanity. For the past eight years, she has served with the O’Fallon Lewis and Clark Chapter of Habitat for Humanity as a chairperson and a member to its board of directors. While maintaining a successful career and work in the community, she is also dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

Also joining the association’s 2021-2022 Board of Directors are President-Elect, Sam Row (KW Pinnacle, Columbia); Secretary/Treasurer, Ashley Barud (Coldwell Banker Brown, Belleville); Immediate Past-President, Celeste Wheeler (RE/MAX Preferred, O’Fallon); Affiliate Director, Tim Garvey (Regions Mortgage, Glen Carbon); Presidential One Year Appointment, Frank Arnold (Coldwell Banker Brown, Bellville) and the following Directors: Jason Buss (RE/MAX Preferred, O’Fallon); Rob Cole-Dempcy (Judy Dempcy Homes Powered by KW Pinnacle, O’Fallon); Amber Fourman-Duke (Coldwell Banker Brown, Belleville); Naureen Frierdich (Century 21 Advantage, Columbia); Carlos Holmes (Coldwell Banker Brown, Belleville); Brad Krueger (Century 21 Advantage, Columbia); Caleb Marsh (Red Door Realty Group Inc, O’Fallon); and Stan Sieron (Stan Sieron & Co. , Belleville).

“I am so proud of our Association and our members” said Sheesley. “During the installation, members of the Association collected over $1,000 to help a fellow member who was badly injured during an attack while listing a home. We have so much heart, and I know that will continue into 2022 and many years to come. We are an association of Realtors and affiliate members who not only work in this community, but we live here too. We are here to help you in the home buying and selling process as well as help in our community.”

The mission of the Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois is to empower the success of Realtors and Affiliates while advocating for private property rights in the region. The association has more than 1,000 members.
