National car consignment business opens hub in Fairview Heights

CarLotz, the nation’s largest consignment-to-retail used vehicle marketplace, has opened a hub to serve the St. Louis metro area at 1807 West Highway 50 in Fairview Heights.

The hub is the company’s third location in the Midwest, with two additional locations in the greater Chicago market. CarLotz continues a rapid expansion, providing its offerings to guests in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washington State as well as Georgia and Nevada (both coming soon).

CarLotz is currently hiring for dozens of open positions including sales coaches, service techs, managers, and other roles at the new location as well as several other locations around the country.

CarLotz describes itself as a used vehicle consignment and Retail Remarketing business that provides corporate vehicle sourcing partners and retail sellers of used vehicles with the ability to access a retail sales channel that provides buyers with prices that are, on average, below those of traditional dealerships. The process is said to allow for a fully contactless end-to-end e-commerce interface that enables no hassle buying and selling.

“We are so excited to work with the people of St. Louis and be a part of this wonderful community,” said Michael Bor, co-founder and CEO of CarLotz.
