Law firm and supporters distribute turkeys for the holiday

TorHoerman Law staff members and family were in Alton Saturday participating in the firm’s seventh annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 21.

The firm was able to provide more than 600 turkeys to those in need of a Thanksgiving meal.

This year, the giveaway was altered to a contactless drive-through experience to negate the spread of COVID-19.

The event took place on the site of the Alton Farmers Market, located at the intersection of Henry Street and Landmarks Boulevard.

The annual turkey giveaway began in 2014 and has grown each year, said Tyler Schneider, THL attorney and president of the TorHoerman Law Employee Foundation.

TorHoerman Law expressed thanks to the people and businesses who joined to sponsor the event, including: Source Juicery, Robert “Chick” Fritz INC., Metro by T-Mobile, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, and Madison County Urban League Inc. The event would not be possible without their cooperation and contributions, the firm said.

Here are photos from the event.
