VP marketing and communications named for Illinois Realtors

Anthony Hebron is the new vice president of marketing and communications for Illinois Realtors, based in Springfield.

Hebron brings nearly three decades of communications and 10 years of marketing experience to his position with Illinois Realtors, including managing his own company for the last nine years, ATH Reputation Management. He served customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., as a communication, public relations, crisis management, digital marketing and public affairs expert.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to join the Illinois Realtors team and to devote my energy to protecting the rights of private property owners,” said Hebron. “The Midwest feels like home to me, having spent so many years here.”

Hebron grew up in the Washington, D.C., area and came to Illinois in the 1980s as a graduate journalism student at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston. After stints as a reporter for the Springfield State Journal-Register and Memphis Commercial Appeal, Hebron moved to the corporate world. He has spent the last 27 years in corporate communications and marketing with companies like Kellogg Company in Battle Creek, Mich., L Brands and Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio, as well as Tax Analysts in Falls Church, Va.

Hebron enjoys working with disadvantaged youth and has coached youth football, soccer and basketball for more than 10 years. He hopes to continue his volunteer efforts in the Springfield area.

Illinois Realtors is a voluntary trade association whose more than 50,000 members are engaged in all facets of the real estate industry. In addition to serving the professional needs of its members, the association works to protect the rights of private property owners in the state by recommending and promoting legislation that safeguards and advances the interest of real property ownership.
