Second person in St. Clair County dies of COVID-19
A second person, a woman in her 30s, has died in a COVID-19 related case in St. Clair County, St. Clair County Public Health Department reported today.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the latest victim of COVID-19,” County Chairman Mark Kern said in a statement. “This is another tragic loss to our community and again, a reminder that no one is immune to COVID-19. Everyone must continue to protect themselves, their family, their friends and colleagues, by following the preventive measures and social distancing guidelines.”
Health officials say the best way to limit one’s exposure is to stay at home.
To date, there have been a total 24 positive cases in St. Clair County. The first reported death in the county occurred Friday. That patient, a woman in her 80s, had underlying health conditions.
