Governor appoints Belleville superintendent to School Construction Task Force

Jeff Dosier, the superintendent of Belleville Township High School District 201 for eight years, has been appointed by Gov. J.B. Pritzer to serve on the School Construction Task Force.

Dosier previously was assistant superintendent for Finance and Operations in District 201 and held the positions of assistant superintendent, principal and teacher in Belleville Elementary School District 118.

Dosier serves as president of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce. In the past, he has served on the board of McKendree University in Lebanon and as a representative of District 201 for the St. Clair County Career and Technical Education System.

Dosier earned his bachelor’s degree in education from McKendree University, a master’s degree in education administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.

The new appointment required confirmation by the Illinois Senate.
