Greater Gateway Realtors raises $10,000-plus for children’s museum
The Greater Gateway Association of Realtors raised more than $10,000 toward restoration and development of an Alton children’s museum during a recent music-themed trivia night.
The group and its affiliates raised the money on behalf of the Haskell House Children’s Museum project. The event was sponsored by the community involvement committee.
The project was accepted by Illinois Realtors as a Bicentennial “Legacy Project” along with 28 others throughout the state.
Illinois Realtors is planning bicentennial “legacy projects” across the state including adopting a historic home or property in its Realtor association communities as well as downtown Springfield in the block shared by the Illinois Realtors headquarters. The Greater Gateway Association of Realtors serves 1,100 Realtor and affiliate members in the southwestern Illinois region including the counties of Bond, Calhoun, Fayette, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, and Montgomery.
