Community Bankers group hires Peck as senior VP

p19 Pecks    SPRINGFIELD — The Community Bankers Association of Illinois has announced the hiring of Jerry Peck as senior vice president of governmental relations. He replaces Kraig Lounsberry who begins his tenure as CBAI president Jan. 1.
    “I have known Jerry for more than 10 years,” Lounsberry stated. “He well-known and well-liked at the Statehouse and he will be an excellent addition to the CBAI governmental-relations team.”
    For the past five years, Peck has served as director of government affairs for the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. He has also worked as a contract lobbyist, and owned his own media and communications company. Peck holds a B.A. degree in communications from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston.
    CBAI is a professional trade association representing 330 Illinois commercial banks and thrifts, and their 880 Illinois bank branches.
