Andrew Bland, MD, chief medical officer and chief quality officer of HSHS Medical Group has been appointed to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Standing Working Group panel to review and formulate Quality Indicators in health care.
AHRQ has developed an array of health care decision-making and research tools that can be used by program managers, researchers, and others at the federal, state and local levels. Quality Indicators are measures of health-care quality used to highlight potential quality concerns, identify areas that need further study and investigation, and track changes over time.
Carl Asche, PhD, MBA director of the Center for Outcomes Research at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria says, “Dr. Bland is well-suited for this opportunity given his excellent clinical skills, academic credentials, research experience, strategic planning and team building.”
HSHS Medical Group has more than 350 specialists and primary care providers across central and southern Illinois.
