Family nurse joins Central Alton Health Center and Bethalto Health Center
ALTON — Heidi Fields, Family Nurse Practitioner, has joined the Family Medicine departments at Central Alton Health Center, 2615 Edwards St., Suite 171 in Alton and Bethalto Health Center, 2 Terminal Drive, Suite 8 in East Alton, Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation has announced.
Fields (left), who has more than 10 years of professional nursing experience, provides preventative care services for patients of all ages and offers treatment for both acute and chronic health conditions.
“Listening and understanding are essential when treating a patient,” said Fields. “I try to put myself in each patient’s shoes to see the world from their perspective to understand what they’re going through. Once I do that, we can work on a treatment plan together to help them get to a healthier point in their life.”
Prior to joining SIHF, Fields served as a school nurse in various school districts across Missouri and Illinois. She has also worked as an RN in Orthopedics at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Mo. and in Women and Newborn Care at Cox Health Care in Springfield, Mo. Fields received her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner at Maryville University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri.
