Workshop reviews unemployment insurance laws for employers

Selsius Corporate & Career Training and the Illinois Chamber of Commerce have partnered to offer an unemployment workshop for employers.
Participants will get an update on unemployment insurance regulations and look at assessing and responding to unemployment claims.
Taught by attorneys from Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard P.C., topics include identifying critical unemployment claim issues, using the laws and achieving more effective results in unemployment benefit disputes. David Prosnitz of Personnel Planners and representatives from the Illinois Department of Employment Security will also be on hand.
The Unemployment Workshop for Illinois Employers will be Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Southwestern Illinois College Belleville Campus, 2500 Carlyle Ave.
It is preapproved for 5.5 HR Certification Institute credits, 5.5 Society for Human Resource Management Professional Development credits, 5.5 continuing professional education credits for accountants and submitted for approval of 5.5 Continuing Legal Education credits.
