Shrine to hold family event honoring first responders

The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows will hold a Sirens at the Shrine event at the Shrine’s Outdoor Amphitheatre on Saturday, Oct. 10, from noon to 6 p.m. to honor the men and women of the police, fire and emergency medical services.

The pub will have the opportunity to interact with personnel, equipment and apparatus.

The event will end with a Mass of Thanksgiving that will honor all of the emergency services with a blessing. Mass will begin at 5 p.m. in the Shrine Amphitheatre.

The event will feature: live demonstrations of vehicle extrication, muster games, CPR demonstrations, medical screenings, ARCH helicopter landing, police K-9 demonstrations, smoke houses, bouncy houses, food and beverage and many giveaways.
