NAI DESCO’s presence in Illinois has been strengthened with the recent addition of Tim Johnston to its O’Fallon office. He joins the company’s 22 brokers and eight support staff that serve the Metro East commercial real estate market. With 27 years of experience, Johnston will focus his attention on land sales and development and retail and office leasing in St. Clair and Madison counties.
Johnston combines his knowledge of the Metro East market with the support of NAI DESCO’s national and international resources. NAI DESCO is the St. Louis regional partner of its umbrella company NAI Global, one of the world’s largest real estate companies with 400 offices worldwide.
“We have affiliates in every significant real estate market throughout the country,” says Johnston. “It is important to have that synergy with other NAI DESCO agents to market properties and to assist clients who have real estate needs that extend beyond the Metro East.”
The size of the NAI DESCO network translates to a wider range of opportunities and exposure on any given project. The team headquartered in Clayton, Mo., has provided invaluable assistance to Johnston with their connections, resources and knowledge of the market.
NAI DESCO recently began marketing two premier pieces of land located in O’Fallon and Edwardsville.
Regency Park in O’Fallon encompasses 13 acres with 1,360 feet of frontage along Interstate 64. The land is located in front of the Hilton Garden Inn and the proposed site of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. The lots can be sold in one-acre minimums.
“The I-64 frontage land is a lucrative opportunity,” says Johnston. “There is a lot of growth activity in the area and it has strong potential for medical, restaurant or office development with its proximity to the future hospital.”
In Edwardsville, 53 acres of land just became available at University Park near Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The land can be sold in two-acre lot minimums. There is 1,800 feet of frontage along State Route 157 and access from two signalized intersections. The land is ideal for research/laboratory companies, a hotel/ conference center, and corporate and divisional headquarters.
NAI DESCO reports that the last two years have seen record volumes since its inception in 2001.
