Women’s pro baseball league unveils inaugural 2026 season schedule
The Women’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL) has officially unveiled its schedule for its historic, inaugural 2026 season.
Starting Aug. 1, 2026, at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Ill., the league’s four teams – New York, Boston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles – will take the field.
The 30-game, regular-season will kick-off on Saturday, Aug. 1 and throughout the 2026 season.
Each team will play a total of 15 games to determine seeding for the playoffs in September.
Season scheduling* and tickets:
Opening weekend: August 1 and 2- Weeks 1 through 6: Regular Season Aug. 1 through Sept. 6
- Prime time baseball: All games following opening weekend will be played Wednesday through Sunday, with most games scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
- Season tickets: To be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime moment in sports history, fans can join the First Pitch Club for priority access to tickets before they go on sale to the general public.
Road to the title:
Following the regular-season finale on Sept. 6, the postseason will begin Wednesday, Sept. 9.
- First round: A Best-of-3 series (Seed 1 vs. 4; Seed 2 vs. 3).
- Championship series: The winners will advance to a best-of-5 series starting Sept. 16, culminating in the crowning of the first WPBL Champion.

The WPBL’s opening weekend is set for a blockbuster debut when Team USA’s powerhouse duo Denae Benites and Kylee Lahners of New York take on a star-studded Los Angeles lineup featuring center fielder women’s baseball superstar Mo’ne Davis and Japanese legend Ayami Sato.
In the opening weekend’s second game, the WPBL’s No. 1 overall pick Kelsie Whitmore of San Francisco will battle Boston’s international sensations including Korean pitcher Hyeonah Kim and Canadian National team star Alli Schroder.

Last month, the WPBL held their first Spring Training in collaboration with the Boston Red Sox as the official kickoff to the WPBL 2026 Countdown Tour ahead of the League’s inaugural Opening Day.
The two-day event in Ft. Myers, Fla., featured over 20 of the WPBL’s top athletes who participated in a professional development experience with on-field training alongside former Major League Baseball (MLB) players.
In addition, the WPBL launched its Speaker Series, the Group Chat LIVE!, in Ft. Myers.
Leading up to the season’s first pitch in August, the WPBL Countdown Tour will continue throughout the spring and summer featuring the Group Chat LIVE!, FanFests and activations across the U.S. to build community and visibility before the WPBL’s inaugural season begins.
