Holiday weekend closure hours announced at the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rivers Project Office will temporarily close overnight access to Riverlands Way, Maple Island, Ellis Island, and Lincoln Shields Recreation Area in West Alton, Mo., for the Fourth of July Weekend.

Riverlands Way will be closed each of the following timeframes:

• 10 p.m. July 3 to 7 a.m. July 4
• 7 p.m. July 4 to 7 a.m. July 5

Maple Island Access and Boat Ramp will be closed each of the following timeframes:

• 6 p.m. July 3 to 7 a.m. July 4
• 6 p.m. July 4 to 7 a.m. July 5

Lincoln Shields Recreation Area and Ellis Island Trailhead Parking Lot will be closed each of the following timeframes:

• 6 a.m. July 3 to 7 a.m. July 4
• 7 p.m. July 4 to 7 a.m. July 5

All areas will again remain open beginning at 7 a.m. July 5.
