Weekend temporary closure of Lincoln Shields Recreation Area

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rivers Project Office, will temporarily close Lincoln Shields Recreation Area at West Alton beginning at 6 a.m. Friday July 17 for the F1 Powerboat Alton Midwest Nationals.

The Lincoln Shields Access Area will be re-opened at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 20.
