Middle school students are invited to attend a free, three-day Health Care Discovery Camp this summer at OSF Saint Anthony’s Health Center.

The Health Care Discovery Camp is designed to introduce students to the wide range of career opportunities available in health care. This hands-on experience gives students the opportunity to explore the world of health care alongside OSF Mission Partners.
Throughout the morning, students will rotate through interactive learning stations covering key health care topics, including:
- CPR and emergency response
- Ambulance services and pre-hospital care
- Stroke awareness and prevention
- Psychological services and mental health care
- Therapy and wellness, including nutrition, hydration, sleep and mental health
- Emergency services
OSF Saint Anthony’s nurses will provide an inside look at both clinical and non-clinical roles, offering a realistic view of what it’s like to work in a hospital setting.
“Getting out of the classroom and into real-life health care environments gives students a meaningful opportunity to explore the field and start envisioning their future careers,” said Melissa Hartnett, manager of Nursing/Patient Care and coordinator of the event.
