In my opinion, the streets should be wide enough to permit parking safely on both sides of the street where safe. Sidewalks should be on both sides of the streets & be wide enough for pedestrians and cyclists.
The street height must match the newly installed pavement height of the newly installed intersections, namely Il. Hwy 4 & Il. Hwy 177. New curbing at all of the corners to be handicap accessible. Curbing as is at the intersection of Il 177 & Lebanon St. is unacceptable, look at all of the tire marks from cars trying to turn onto Main St. What is with the curb blocks at the entrance and exit at the Moto Mart Gas Station? It’s as if it was laid out as a road race course to get in and out of the business.
At the intersection of County Road and Il Hwy 177, NO ROUNDABOUT ‼️‼️, a traffic signal will much more practical, cheaper, take up less ground and will not require redoing the newly paved intersections. Not counting the disruption of the two business at that intersection. After all your spending taxpayers money, shouldn’t you be prudent about spending it ‼️‼️.
