Completion of new BHMG headquarters in Collinsville announced

Gray Design Group recently announced the completion of a new headquarters facility for BHMG Engineers in Collinsville. BHMG is a utility-focused engineering and consulting firm.
Located at Eastport Plaza Drive and Fairmont Avenue with direct access to I-255 and I-55, the new 25,000-square-foot office is located within a recently developed, 75,000-square-foot office/distribution facility.
Contegra Construction served as the design-build contractor, working from Gray’s design. The newly constructed facility features a refined industrial aesthetic and flexible, high-performance workspace, redefining what is expected of a more traditional engineering office design.
The result has been described as “a bold, forward-thinking workplace that reflects the firm’s continued growth and commitment to innovation, collaboration and community impact across the Saint Louis Metropolitan Region.”
The facility’s tilt-up concrete panel structure features brick inlays, expansive storefront windows and modern detailing. Its interior is conducive to connectivity and productivity with open workstations, tech-enabled conference rooms, breakout spaces and a welcoming break area.
The reception area features wood accents and wall graphics that draw inspiration from power lines, a nod to BHMG’s industry. Glass-fronted conference rooms and private offices surround the lobby, maximizing natural light and further focusing on its overall open, bright environment.
Its on-site training room is a flexible, state-of-the-art space inspired by facilitating collaboration and learning. It includes an overhead glass door connecting to the break room, which allows for an adaptable environment for team activities or for closure as needed for private training sessions.
Collaboration on the project’s success were Contegra Construction as general contractor; Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen, Inc. (TWM) as structural and civil engineer; Jarrell for mechanical systems; Lowery Electric; Haier Plumbing; Bi-State Fire Protection and 303rd Engineering Group, LLC. Interior solutions were provided by Falkbuilt, with furniture and space planning by Louer Facility Planning. Photography of the completed design construction was provided by Front Door Media.
