The Village of Glen Carbon will be celebrating its Homecoming once again over Father’s Day weekend on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14, 2025. This year’s theme is “Village of Rock N’ Coal.”

Glen Carbon’s Main Street will be filled with great music, food, refreshments, carnival rides, entertainment and more, with the festival beginning at 5 p.m. on both nights.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses that would like to promote brand awareness and support a popular community event. Various levels of Homecoming Sponsorships and more information about the event can be found by visiting the Village of Glen Carbon’s website at www.glencarbonil.gov and select “Village Events” under the Your Community tab.

For decades, this free-to-attend festival has entertained guests of all ages with the help of its generous sponsors.

In addition to rides, games, food and drinks, Friday night’s entertainment includes crowd favorite, Johnny Holzum and Well Hungarians hitting the stage at 7 p.m.

The Glen Carbon Covered Bridge 5k and 1-mile fun run is again happening on Saturday morning. Runners can learn more and sign-up at www.finallapracing.com/.

On Saturday night, a Main Street parade begins at 5 p.m. with live music to follow. Real Rock Revival, a St. Louis based cover band that plays hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, will begin their show at 7 p.m. Musician Celia will be at the library’s memorial patio along with a balloon artist beginning at 6 p.m. A fireworks display fills the air on Saturday at nightfall, typically at 9:30 p.m.

Mayor Bob Marcus says he looks forward to the Village’s annual Homecoming Celebration for many reasons. “Homecoming is a fun way to bring the community together,” said Marcus, “and our staff and volunteers do a wonderful job planning this event that attracts people of all ages from near and far.”

Mayor Marcus further shared that he is also extremely appreciative of the Homecoming sponsors, vendors and Village partners, emphasizing that it takes a group of people working together to make the event a success year after year.
