Spectrum recently announced a series of donations totaling $12,500 to four St. Louis area organizations through the company’s national philanthropic program, Spectrum Employee Community Grants.
Since its inception in 2019, Spectrum Employee Community Grants has provided more than $283,000 in funding to more than 50 St. Louis area nonprofits, where Spectrum employees are volunteering their time and talent.
Spectrum hosted a special recognition ceremony and check presentation with each nonprofit, the Spectrum employee volunteers and other leaders to commemorate the donations.
The latest St. Louis-area Spectrum Employee Community Grant recipients are:
- Sleep in Heavenly Peace – $2,500 to provide children who don’t have an appropriate place to sleep with new beds.
- Highway to Destiny – $2,500 to provide those in need with necessities and resources to transition into stable housing.
- Operation Food Search – $2,500 to support innovative and collaborative solutions which provide food today and help create a hunger free tomorrow.
- Reach St. Charles – $5,000 to provide food boxes, distribute meals, and provide supplies such as clothing and hygiene products.
“Through Spectrum Employee Community Grants, we’re committed to providing support to vital community organizations with whom our local employees are already volunteering their time and talent,” said Aaron Detwiler, area vice president for Spectrum’s Missouri Management Area. “Together, we’re building stronger communities where our customers and employees live and work across America.”
Recipients deliver critical social services, helping underserved residents meet basic needs, including food, shelter, clothing, job training and neighborhood safety. Each awardee is nominated by one of the company’s more than 101,000 U.S. employees who has volunteered with the organization for at least one year.
