In a Facebook post recently shared forward by the RiverBend Growth Association, longtime charity “Givin’ It All For Guts” has announced the end of its tenure.
Givin’ It All For Guts Foundation posted a message on its Facebook page on the morning of Jan. 13, 2025 that read as follows:
It is with bittersweet report that the tenure of our foundation, Givin’ It All For Guts, has come to an end.
This foundation came to fruition because of a mother determined to help her son and along the way, she cobbled together like minded people that wanted to work with medical professionals to help bring awareness and raise funds to support research in finding a cure for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
Over the years, our foundation has raised over $55k given to Dr. Matthew Ciorba and his team at Washington University in St. Louis. This money was from fundraising efforts and loving donations.
It is not without your care and support that our efforts would have been as successful. From the very first event that collected donations in a coffee can, to our 5k races, trivia nights, greeting card sales, dine to donate events and the monthly recurring donations, all of it added up to something important.
While our foundation has officially dissolved, the people in it are forever bonded. Anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
Thank you for the bottom of our hearts.
