The 62024 plans community celebration for its upcoming special day

This kind of opportunity only comes around every hundred years. And the East Alton community doesn’t plan to miss its chance to celebrate on June 20, 2024.

East Alton’s ZIP Code is 62024, you see. So, this year, on 6-20-24, the community will celebrate the date as “ZIP Code Day,” with plenty of hoopla and activity planned.

“We have a variety of things planned for ZIP Code Day,” said East Alton Mayor Darren Carlton. “Everything will take place inside and outside Village Hall from 3 to 6 p.m. on June 20. It’s an opportunity to celebrate our community, for residents and businesses to come together, and for everyone to enjoy the social occasion.”

There will be food and beverage options available, as well as informational booths. Musical entertainment will also be featured and special T-shirts featuring a unique design noting the 62024 ZIP Code Day will be available as well.

“We’ve also invited vehicle displays to be on hand from service providers within the 62024 mailing district – fire, police, St. Louis Regional Airport, and more,” Mayor Carlton said further.
