The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce will hold its first Virtual Job Fair. The event will take place on Oct. 6 and 7 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Individuals can sign up for the virtual event on the Chamber’s website, beginning Sept. 14. Chamber member businesses have been contacted and asked to sign up for this event.
“We have heard from our Chamber businesses that they have had trouble finding employees during this time, so we decided to put together our first annual Chamber Virtual Job Fair” said Dawn Mushill, executive director, Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce. “We also know there are many people looking for jobs so our goal is to connect the two.” The Chamber is working with Illinois WorkNET and Madison County Employment & Training to pull this event together.
Participants will have access to all of the other local jobs listed on the Illinois WorkNET site. The same for employers – their jobs will be listed and available to all who search. This is a great way to dive in to jobs that are available and people who are available.
“We feel like we will be able to capture more people at the VJF than we would have been able to at an in-person event. The event will be recorded and shared so people can watch it after the event,” said Mushill.
