Belleville ride canceled — you can still get a T-shirt

City of Belleville’s Parks & Rec Department selling commemorative Tour de Belleville T-shirts

The city of Belleville’s Parks & Recreation Department had to cancel this year’s Tour de Belleville night bike ride, but die-hard riders can still get a commemorative T-shirt for the 2020 event.

This year’s shirt features the race’s mascot “Otto” wearing a mask and the message to “Stay 6′ Back” on the back of the shirt. The cost for the shirt is $24 and proceeds from the shirts will be used for the 2021 Tour de Belleville. Each year, the event attracts nearly 2,000 bike riders.

Preferred deadline for shirt orders is June 19, and shirts can be picked up at Bicycle World, 4516 W. Main St. Those who order on or before June 19 can pick up shirts between June 26 and July 9. Those who order shirts after June 19 can pick shirts up between July 17-31.
