Porter’s Steakhouse cited for excellence by wine magazine

Porter’s Steakhouse in Collinsville earned an Award of Excellence in the August issue of Wine Spectator magazine, which focuses on the best wine restaurants in America.

The restaurant, in the Doubletree Hotel in Eastport Plaza, was the only Metro East restaurant included in the list. Several other restaurants in St. Louis and in Illinois are included.

The magazine lists the key roles at the restaurant, including wine director John McGuire, Sommelier Jeff Callahan, Chef Tim Eagan, General Manager Stacy Frierdich-Hinrichs and owner Steve O’Laughlin.
