Centerstone, a behavioral health care provider, has opened a new clinic for opiate treatment services. The Medication Assisted Treatment, or MAT, facility is at 202 Bentley in Marion.
The new facility will offer a range of services including assessment, counseling, case management, peer support and medical services. It is the first of its kind in Southern Illinois.
A ribbon-cutting and open house were held on April 9.
Centerstone is a not-for-profit health-care organization that provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, education and support to communities in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee and additionally offer individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities life skills development, employment and housing services.
Nationally, it has specialized programs for service members, veterans and their loved ones, and employee assistance programs for businesses of all sizes. Its research institute improves behavioral health care through research and technology, and its foundation secures philanthropic resources to support its work.
