Admiral Weinel Boulevard to close for reconstruction in Columbia

The Illinois Department of Transportation says lane restrictions may be encountered along southbound Illinois Route 3 at its intersection with Admiral Weinel Boulevard in Columbia as early as today, Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Admiral Weinel Boulevard will be closed from Illinois 3 to approximately 100 feet south of Admiral Trost Road. These restrictions are required for the reconstruction of Admiral Weinel Boulevard, which is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, weather permitting.

Traffic control devices will be utilized to assist motorists during these restrictions. IDOT asks that motorists be patient, reduce speed, obey all warning signs and use additional caution when traveling near this work zone. Additional information is also available at http://stl-traffic.org.
