Metro East businesses teaming to help airmen transition into civilian workforce
Scott Air Force Base and local companies have partnered to provide a networking opportunity with 75-plus top transitioning military who come to the table with excellent leadership, management and work-readiness skills.
The event aims to connect active duty members, guard/reserve and spouses to open available jobs in Southwestern Illinois
It will take place Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McKendree MetroRex Plex, 205 Rec Plex Drive, O’Fallon.
Among those participating are Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois, Southern Illinois Builders Association, McKendree MetroRec Plex, Poettker Construction MidAmerica Workforce Investment Board, St. Clair County hosting with top companies such as AT&T, AFLAC, Ameren, Bi-State Development, BJC Healthcare, C5T, Core & Main, Datotel, Donco Electrical, Dynamic Transit Company, Edward Jones, Express Employment Professionals, Flight Safety International, Graybar, Hire Level, Leidos, McKendree University, Metova CyberCENTS, NGA, NJVC, PRI, SCI Engineering, SIFH, Southwestern Illinois JATC, Tapestry Solutions, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
