Hanson awarded U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hydrographic and field surveying contract

ST. LOUIS — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ St. Louis District awarded Illinois-based Hanson Professional Services Inc. a $3 million, five-year contract to perform field and automated hydrographic surveys.
It is Hanson’s seventh consecutive indefinite delivery contract awarded by the Corps for the services, which include dredge, dam monitoring, construction layout, geodetic control, boundary, planimetric and topographic surveys and surveys using global positioning systems for projects within the district’s boundaries.
“Being selected for this contract will allow us to continue to provide quality surveys to the Corps of Engineers and their clients,” said Matthew Schrader, PLS, Hanson’s national geospatial technical leader.
The award of this contract marks 38 continuous years of service from Hanson’s surveying group to the Army Corps of Engineers for geospatial services.
Hanson is a national, employee-owned consulting firm providing engineering, planning and allied services. The firm’s corporate headquarters is located at 1525 S. Sixth St., Springfield. The St. Louis regional office is located at 13801 Riverport Drive, Maryland Heights.
