Counselor joins Alton Health Center behavioral health team

ALTON – Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation has announced that Charity Nevins, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, has joined the behavioral health department at Alton Health Center, 550 Landmarks Blvd. in Alton.

Nevins provides a variety of therapy services for patients of all ages, including children, adolescents and adults. She works toward completing comprehensive mental health and behavioral assessments for each client and developing personalized recovery and treatment plans.

nevins charityNevins (left) received both her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and her Master of Arts in Professional Clinical Counseling from McKendree University in Lebanon. Prior to joining Alton Health Center, Nevins served as mental health therapist at WellSpring Resources as well as in numerous roles at Transitions Counseling, Community Counseling Center and Children’s Home & Aid.

Nevins is accepting new patients at Alton Health Center, and appointments can be scheduled by calling (618) 465-8829.

Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation, now celebrating its 30th anniversary, operates a network of 29 health centers across nine counties with more than 150 medical providers who deliver comprehensive family and adult services including: pediatrics, obstetrics, primary care, dental services, behavioral health, and extensive community outreach programs. It is one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Center networks in the country.
