Peer 151 joins forces with XLR8 to connect its entrepreneurship community

From Illinois Business Journal news services

BELLEVILLE – Peer 151, the new co-working space in downtown Belleville, has partnered with XLR8, allowing its entrepreneurs to quickly and intelligently connect to the right collaborators, mentors and investors in their community and throughout the global XLR8 network directly from Peer151.com.

XLR8 is a membership, matching and metrics technology that turns any website into a social member community and intelligently matches users to the right people, events and content. The technology shows users why they’ve been matched so they can make informed decisions on who to further connect with. Once successfully connected, users can intuitively schedule meetings using integrated technology from Skejul.

“XLR8 will boost local business by helping entrepreneurs sift through and find the right people to collaborate with right away, said XLR8 CEO Rick Duree. I’m excited to see the Peer 151 co-working space become the startup hub of the Metro East.”

With support from local universities like SIUE, Peer 151 hosts training seminars and workshops in the newly renovated Turner Hall, as well as other entrepreneurial focused programming. Now, thanks to XLR8’s intelligent matching technology, Peer 151’s community members are notified of events relevant to them, and further matched to the attendees they should meet at the event.

“As one of the first co-working spaces in the Metro East, we’re thrilled to be the forerunner in utilizing the XLR8 technology, helping us to further fulfill our mission of building the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region,” said Peer 151 Executive Director Chris Oswald. “The XLR8 technology has helped me to nurture this very new ecosystem as well as develop a well attended schedule of effectual events.”

About XLR8

XLR8, a tech startup based in St. Charles, Mo., was founded by a team of entrepreneurs who realized finding the right connections was harder than it should be. To solve this problem, XLR8 developed a proprietary matching algorithm that allows people to quickly and efficiently find collaborators within their own community and beyond. In July of 2015 XLR8 released XLR8connect, a software as a service that matches users based on any criteria on any website in any industry. To learn more about XLR8, visit www.XLR8.org.
