Scholarships to benefit from upcoming O’Fallon Fun Run

O’FALLON –  The O’Fallon Parks and Recreation Department will play host to the Jumpin’ the Tracks 5K/Fun Run on July 1 at 6:30 p.m. The run will start at the Family Sports Park, cross over the new Venita Drive Overpass, and end at the new fire station and park maintenance building. There will be tours of the new fire station and park maintenance building immediately following the run.

 “We welcome all participants and anyone else who is interested to come and celebrate the new Venita Overpass and to take a tour of the new O’Fallon Fire Station and Park Maintenance Facility after the run,” Mayor Gary Graham said.

The cost to enter the 5K/Fun Run will be $30 per runner (age 13 and above) and $15 for kids (ages 5-12). To register, go to www.ofallonparksandrecreation.org or visit the Katy Cavins Center (308 E. Fifth St.).

Proceeds will go to benefit scholarships for local youths.
