Alton visitors center store has landed – on line

The Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau recently opened an online store at VisitAlton.com/Store.

Visitors can order Alton region-related shirts, books and other souvenirs and have it shipped directly to their house or business.

Dozens of products are available, from 50-cent post cards to books that range from $10 to $25.

“The store is another avenue for visitors and tourists to pick up items that they can have to remember the great time they had while visiting the region,” Brett Stawar, president/CEO of the CVB, stated. “It’s also another way for those who have moved away from the Alton region to remember their home town.”

There are eagle-related items such as shirts, playing cards and a stuffed toy. People can also pick up a new product – a Robert Wadlow T-shirt.

The store also includes unique souvenirs such as car coasters (eagle and Piasa Bird) and Meeting of the Great Rivers bread warmers. There are 11 different books people can purchase including children’s books (Seymour Bluffs series).

Shipping and handling is calculated in the total cost and the CVB will ship to all 50 states. International sales are not allowed at this time. The store accepts all major credit and debit cards.

The Alton Visitor Center is located at 200 Piasa St. in Downtown Alton. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information on items available, call the Alton Visitor Center at (618) 465-6676.
