Chef Kevin Nashan has announced the upcoming opening of The Clydesdale – A Clark Avenue Tavern, a new upscale American dining destination in the iconic Budweiser Brew House building on Clark Avenue, just steps from Busch Stadium.
Designed as the quintessential St. Louis gathering place, The Clydesdale will blend timeless tavern nostalgia with elevated dining, exceptional cocktails and a vibrant social atmosphere.
To bring the culinary vision to life, acclaimed St. Louis Chef Kevin Nashan, widely recognized as one of the city’s most respected culinary talents, has partnered with Live! Hospitality & Entertainment.
“I am incredibly excited to bring The Clydesdale to life alongside the Live! team,” said Nashan. “St. Louis has one of the most passionate and evolving dining communities in the country. We wanted to build the kind of restaurant people can make part of their routine – whether that’s grabbing a burger before the game, celebrating with friends, or settling in for dinner. Great food, great drinks and genuine hospitality never go out of style.”
The approximately 5,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor concept joins the recently renovated Crown Room events space, Rooftop Bud Deck and AVA Garden Bar in the Iconic Budweiser Brew House building, along with Clark & Bourbon, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria and Salt + Smoke along Clark Avenue. The Clydesdale will feature an unforgettable patio experience along Clark Avenue that will serve both as an unrivaled dining environment and exceptional spot for high energy gamedays.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Chef Kevin Nashan to Ballpark Village and partner with one of St. Louis’ most acclaimed culinary talents,” said Bill DeWitt III, CEO of the St. Louis Cardinals. “Under Chef Nashan’s leadership, The Clydesdale will bring an elevated dining concept to our stadium district’s iconic Clark Avenue, furthering energizing it and all of downtown St. Louis with a fresh new gathering place for fans, residents and visitors.”

The menu will feature elevated tavern favorites, from a seafood raw bar anchored by the signature Crown Tower with oysters, caviar and jumbo shrimp, to Clyde’s Burger, made with an eight-ounce Wagyu blend and house-made thousand island. Guests will also find Steak Frites served with beef tallow fries alongside house-made pastas, including mezze rigatoni with Calabrian chile vodka sauce.
The beverage program will feature an expertly crafted cocktail menu featuring elevated timeless classics alongside modern creations. The beer program will continue to celebrate Anheuser Busch’s rich history and product diversity while being complemented by thoughtful local craft offerings. Guests can further enjoy the tavern’s nostalgic energy with a soundtrack featuring ‘90s and early-2000s rock, and classic favorites paired with live entertainment on select evenings.
Inspired by classic American taverns while embracing a polished modern sensibility, The Clydesdale is designed to become a go-to destination for brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and late nights whether guests are headed to a Cardinals game, a concert or simply enjoying a night out. The concept will combine elevated hospitality with an approachable atmosphere that feels equally suited for date nights, business lunches and lively group gatherings.

Hospitality & Entertainment. “We continue to invest in St. Louis because we believe it is one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in the country with tremendous potential for growth. Partnering with Chef Nashan brings an extraordinary level of culinary talent and creativity to The Clydesdale, helping shape a dining experience that is both elevated and distinctly St. Louis.”
Ballpark Village continues to build on more than a decade of momentum as St. Louis’ premier entertainment, dining and lifestyle destination, highlighted by the recent opening of CardVault by Tom Brady and strong demand at One Cardinal Way, which is near full occupancy and home to 500 residents.
Beyond Cardinals season, Ballpark Village remains a vibrant downtown hub with a curated calendar of festivals, concerts, holiday celebrations, nightlife and community events, further enhancing its dynamic year-round experience for locals and visitors to St. Louis.
Additional details about The Clydesdale including opening timeline, events and reservations will be announced in the coming weeks.
