PMC Signs officially opened its new facility at 3401 E. Broadway in Alton, Ill., in April 2025. Opening the doors to its new facility in March, the company celebrated its
official grand opening with a ribbon cutting and open house in April, hosted in part by the RiverBend Growth Association.
With the capabilities now to offer more products and services to its customers, the market’s reply message has already been made clear, just two months in. This is exactly what the region’s customers were needing.
The company is a full-service visual branding and marketing company that specializes in custom signage, print solutions and creative services that help other businesses stand out, communicate their messages clearly and grow their brand presence.
Michelle Greenwood and Lance DeMond own Print Media Corporation, d/b/a PMC Signs. DeMond serves as president and Greenwood as CEO. Other key leadership positions include Monica Zumwalt as operations manager and Chris Barbee as creative manager. There are a total of 10 employees currently, and they have open internship opportunities available now as well.
Two complementary divisions of the company operate fluidly together to best meet the needs of its customers: PMC Signs – Lighting & Design, and Print Media Corporation (PMC).
The PMC Signs division focuses on custom signage solutions. It offers design, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of both interior and exterior signage.

Its sign products include channel letters; LED message centers; monument signs; pylon, and post & panel signs; ADA-compliant and wayfinding signage; window graphics and wall murals; banners, yard signs and trade show displays; vehicle graphics and wraps; digital and illuminated signage; as well as scoreboards and stadium signs.
“We’re also an Ameren-approved Trade Ally,” noted Greenwood, “offering energy-efficient lighting and retrofit options, helping clients reduce operating costs while improving visibility.”
Print Media Corporation, or just PMC, is the company’s print division. Its focus is on professional design and printing of marketing materials and branded products to support businesses from startup through expansion.
Print and media services include business cards, brochures, catalogs, postcards, and flyers; product packaging and labels; custom apparel and uniforms; sample kits and sales presentations; digital marketing strategies; website design and eCommerce; logo and brand identity design; as well as fulfillment, kitting and shipping support.
“PMC fills the critical gap between design creativity and production capability. We serve as a one-stop solution for businesses that need custom signage, print materials and brand support without them having to work with multiple and disconnected vendors,” Greenwood added.
“We’re especially valuable to startups launching with a complete identity; established businesses who are upgrading their image and signage; companies needing a mix of print, digital and physical branding; and organizations that require fast, local service with custom design support,” she further shared.
And, what sets them apart from similar area providers?
“Our focus on local service, expert craftsmanship, fast turnaround and creative problem-solving makes us an ideal partner for customers who want more than just a product. We are a partner who understands their vision,” DeMond replied. Production is done locally, another key difference.
He continued: “At PMC Signs, Lighting & Design, what sets us apart is our commitment to design-driven, full-service solutions tailored to each client’s unique vision. Unlike many competitors who focus solely on production, we start with creative strategy and custom design, delivering signage that not only meets compliance and functionality standards but also elevates your brand presence.
“From channel letters and LED message centers to banners, wraps, and ADA-compliant interior signage, every sign is crafted with precision, quality materials, and attention to detail. We also offer in-house installation, repair, and service, making us a true end-to-end partner,” Zumwalt explained further.
“As a local, community-rooted business and an Ameren-approved Trade Ally, we combine big-agency capabilities with personalized service and energy-efficient solutions. Our clients trust us for our fast response times, expert craftsmanship, and ability to deliver visually impactful signage that performs. With PMC Signs, you don’t just get a sign, you get a strategic asset built to last,” she added.

For the near future, Greenwood said, PMC Signs and Print Media Corporation will continue expanding its presence across the Riverbend region and the broader St. Louis Metro market by focusing on high-impact, design-forward signage and branding solutions.
“Internally, we’re investing in staff development, production capabilities, and creative technology to maintain our competitive edge and ensure every client receives unmatched service, speed, and quality,” Greenwood said further.
In the long term, PMC aims to become a regional leader in visual communication: “Not just a sign shop, but a strategic partner for brands seeking visibility through integrated design, signage, print and digital solutions,” Greenwood explained.
“As branding becomes more immersive and experiential, PMC will be positioned as a go-to firm for businesses that want to create cohesive, omnichannel visual identities,” she explained further.
DeMond said as the company grows, it will continue to invest in the community as well, supporting local businesses and staying adaptable to market changes, always innovating to meet the needs of customers.
“What remains constant,” he added, “is our commitment to the customer experience. We will continue to build systems and services that are easy to navigate, from consultation to installation; visually impactful; custom and community-driven; energy-conscious; and forward-thinking.”
