Swansea-based engineering and surveying firm Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen Inc. has added Heather Copeland, P.E., to its team of transportation engineers.
Copeland of St. Louis comes to TWM with expertise in various roles working for the Missouri Department of Transportation. She has acted as a senior highway designer, a hybrid designer/inspector and most recently as a senior construction inspector/project engineer for design-build transportation projects.
Copeland served as a MoDOT liaison with contractors and engineering firms such as West Contracting, Alberici, The Walsh Group, Burns & McDonnell, CH2M, EFK Moen and Civil Design, Inc. Additionally, her experience extends to designing ADA-compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, inspecting various roadway and bridge projects, creating designs with CADD technology, and assisting with permits, cost estimates and budgets.
