A daughter of an Air Force family, Roxann Bohstedt grew up around the world. When she married an Air Force member, her life of travel continued. But, she said, when he was assigned to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, she knew this was going to be home.
The broker owner of Your Home Team Real Estate in O’Fallon says sales is in her blood.
“My education and work experience are focused on marketing, sales and client care,” she said. “My background is in sales and marketing. Real estate has evolved significantly, even the past five years, and I love the challenges and opportunities to continue to grow my company.”
Bohstedt broke into the real estate business 23 years ago and her career took off like a rocket. She was named Rookie of the Year in her first year of sales and by her third year she ranked in the top five of real estate agents in the Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois.
Licensed in both Illinois and Missouri, Roxann stepped out and started her own agency 10 years ago. Perhaps unique in her profession, she is also a professional “stager” and owns four homes of furniture.
“I can fill empty homes and give buyers the visual concept needed for a buyer to see themselves in a home,” she said. “With this service as well as other marketing strategies, I’ve attempted to provide the client a ‘one stop’ option in selling and buying. It’s all about service. How do we best position your home to be sold and get the best price?”
Bohstedt has not only been offering the staging services for the last eight years, she also owns a moving truck that she makes available at no charge to her clients as well as schools and charities.
“It’s all part of my service,” she said.
She has been a trainer and mentor for other agents, speaks publicly for the industry including as guest speaker at St. Louis University, and leads seminars on home buying. She serves at the state level on the committees for education and professional standards and ethics.
“While I work crazy, irregular hours, I love the level of care I can give my clients, their families and their properties,” she said. “Real estate is truly a service industry, which has been overlooked over the years. The biggest compliment a past client/customer gives, is the referral of their co-worker, family member or friend or even themselves with over 75 percent of my business coming from referrals.”
Bohstedt and Your Home Team have weathered the test of time (and recession) and remain one of the strongest selling companies in the Metro East.
