“We educate and service children and adults with autism to help them achieve their highest level of independence. The Illinois Center for Autism is a not-for profit, community-based, mental health treatment, and educational agency dedicated to serving people with autism.
We offer a Special Day School Program which is Illinois State Board of Education approved and offers year round educational programming to students between the ages of 3 and 21 diagnosed with autism, cognitive disabilities, specific learning disabilities, speech-language impairments, emotional disabilities, other health impairments and developmental delays.
Our Adult Services program addresses the needs of a growing population of adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our services include facilitation of vocational skills training, independent living skills, transportation training and recreational and leisure activities. Our adult services program provides communication skills support, social skills training, and supportive employment services.
