National developer buys old dilapidated buildings

FRANKLIN, N.H. (AP) _ A national development company has bought a group of old and dilapidated buildings and plans to create a new business complex in Franklin, New Hampshire.
General Properties LLC purchased the former excavation business in late August. The Concord Monitor reports the new three-building complex will house several companies _ including an underground tank maintenance business, a vehicle service center and a company that makes sustainable oils.
General Properties representative Jeff Colner says construction is already underway and the developer hopes to finish two of the buildings by the end of this year.
Colner declined to say how much the company paid for the buildings.
Franklin Mayor Tony Giunta says the deal is a reason why the city should maintain its current tax cap.
