Troy regional chamber launches Gift Certificate Program featuring member businesses

The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce has announced its launch of its Chamber Gift Certificate Program. The program is designed with a goal of helping boost holiday revenues and overall awareness for the chamber’s member businesses. Its purpose is to encourage the community to shop and spend money locally, with its chamber members.

All members of the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce are welcome to participate and offer gift certificates for purchase. “We have found the following types of industries to be among those who may benefit the most: Restaurants, retail, convenience stores, entertainment, specialty shops and the service industry,” noted Chamber Executive Director Dawn Mushill.

The participant application can be accessed by chamber members at https://www.troymaryvillecoc.com/form/view/30810.

A QR code on each gift certificate will take the purchaser to the list of businesses that accept the gift certificate as well as where gift certificates are sold.

For participating chamber member businesses, the gift certificates can be deposited just like a check. All gift certificates value at $10. If the participating business would like to give cash back, that is up to them. There is no cost to participate in gift certificate program for chamber members; the program is a membership benefit. “It is extremely important to educate your staff on the gift certificate program,” and how to work with it if your member is participating, Mushill further noted.

Once a chamber member signs up its business, they will receive an e-mail from the Chamber that includes a sample gift certificate and additional instructions.

Chamber member businesses who participate in the Chamber Gift Certificate Program will also benefit from its complimentary marketing campaign, which includes outreach via social media, the chamber’s website, as well as a variety of flyer distributions and chamber events.

Gift certificates will be available at the chamber office and at chamber events. If any chamber members are interested in selling gift certificates, be sure to contact the Chamber office.
